Great first real experience of Jogjakarta
I was born in Jogjakarta but my husband never been to Jogjakarta so we decided to visit Jogjakarta for 2 days. I do not know where to go or what to do and after reading some reviews in Tripadvisor decided to contact Tulus to drive us around.
What a great decision it was, Tulus… is very prompt and reliable with his first communication and answered all our questions before our trip. We actually were just happy with culinary trip as food is our passion with every trip.
But our itinerary devised by Tulus was an enjoyable one. We visited Borobudur temple, Prambanan temple, Taman Sari and also Merapi tour.
Along the way , we tried all different kind of traditional food and enjoyed everything and our tummy are so full each time. We definitely recommend Tulus as our guide and driver and we become good friend as well. He is very courteous, always have smiling face , his car is very clean and a chilled bottle of water is provided all the time. Stunning sunrise view and experience
Stunning sunrise view and experience. We arrived a bit late for the sunrise due to our driver came late, but the view still is stunningly beautiful with the soft light of the sun. Place still not so crowded.
Still as stunning
Did sunrise in my last trip, this time, we decided to do sunset. First of all, it’s way more pleasant as there’s less crowd. Second, it gets so much cooler with the evening breeze. Third, the photographic experience is so rewarding. Key is to get tickets before the place officially closes at 4. We weren’t… aware of the process but got in by other more convulated means. Security starts to bounce the day ticket holders out at 5 and we started to enjoy the sun setting. Beautiful and definitely hyped
The Borobudur sunrise is best from the Manohara hotel. The entry fee is 450k IDR per person, but it is worth every rupee. The ticket also includes a buffet breakfast and a souvenir. The sunrise from the top of the temple oversees a huge valley though it was nothing like pictures I had seen. The… sun rises early in Indonesia and you must reach the temple by 5 AM. I got a cloudy sky on the day and the sun was seen only at 6 30 AM. It gets hot every minute after 7 AM so you must finish the temple walk quickly. Read more “Beautiful and definitely hyped”
